    TITLE: ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR (SEASONAL)


    DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE


    REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Manager


    Royal St Kitts Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Frigate Bay. With 239 luxury studios and suites each with its own fully stocked and equipped kitchen, it is simply your ‘home away from home’. Due to our expanding growth, we are hiring an Activities Coordinator to join our team.


    JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic, and energetic individual to assist in the planning and seamless execution of hotel activities for our Royal clientele. The incumbent must maintain rapport with our guest and ensure visitors and tenants leave with a unique and memorable Kittitian experience. This position is a seasonal position.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • The perfect candidate must enjoy event planning, must be highly organized, is a good communicator and have lots of creative ideas on how to entertain.


    • The Activities Coordinator will have the responsibility of planning and successfully executing special activities for our overnighters, day visitors and long-term residents.


    • Create and publish a monthly calendar of events and activities and effectivelycommunicate the schedule across resort departments.


    • Welcome guests upon arrival at scheduled events.


    • Taking inventory of current games/supplies and ordering what is needed.


    • Set up and break down of scheduled events and activities.


    • Build rapport with guests and provide them with support and guidance.


    • Understand guest needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel.


    • Enforce established safety rules and policies as they pertain to our activities.


    • Provides EXCELLENT customer service


    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:


    • CXC’s Including Math’s & English and/or a Diploma in events coordination.


    • Flexible work hours


    • Above average knowledge of computers


    • Good people skills, pleasant and helpful attitude


    • Ability to stand on feet for long periods


    • Ability to work outdoors in inclement/hot weather


    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs


    • Exemplary communication skills: ability to memorize script, present information to large groups, lead discussions and engage in spontaneous conversations


    • Outgoing personality

     

    Terms of Employment: Full Time, Weekend, Holiday (Shifts)


    Transportation/Travel: Bus shuttle transportation is available.
