TDC is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Furniture Assembler at Home and Building Depot, Frigate Bay Road, Basseterre, St. Kitts.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling furniture and performing carpentry duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assembling furniture according to instructions and designs

- Ensuring that the assembled products conform to the specifications given

- Taking precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit of components

- Reporting on issues, malfunctions or defective parts

- Using a variety of wood working techniques on various wood surfaces to ensure a completed product

Qualifications/Requirements/Skills

- Secondary School or High School diploma

- One year’s related experience or equivalent combination of education, training

- Carpentry and wood working experience

- Ability to use hand and power tools

- Strong customer service skills

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- At least two (2) years’ experience in related field will be a plus

- Must be flexible
