    SCOPE OF ROLE

     

    The Linear Motion Division is a major contributor to the Segment, with approximately 1,500 global associates and $400M in revenue. There are 9 main sites located across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, & Europe.

     

    The HR Manager position will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department in our facility located in Sandy Point St. Kitts under the local operating company API HAROWE (ST. KITTS LIMITED). Some of the responsibilities will be to provide leadership in the development of a sustainable, high-performance/high-commitment workforce, partner with and coach managers to improve associate and team engagement and support and guide managers in dealing with employee relations issues, development plans, and performance improvement opportunities.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    · Provides facility supervision on employee relations matters including investigations, resolving conflict, and communications in regards to employee questions, issues, or concerns.

     

    · Ensures regulatory compliance. Stays current on recent local and regional laws and case law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HR.

     

    · Partner with associates and managers to administer various policies and procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement.

     

    · Develop effective onboarding plans with appropriate staff members and manage new hire orientations

     

    · Execute initiatives to drive Key Performance Indicators; turnover, time to fill, engagement.

     

    · Provide benefit support to employees for enrollment, status changes, wellness program, plan provisions, and other general inquiries

     

    · Partner with managers to establish and provide training and development programs

     

    · Develop and administer wage and salary policies, processes, and surveys to ensure competitive rates of pay

     

    · Utilize Regal Business System tools to streamline HR processes, improve quality, and reduce administrative cost

     

    · Manage employee relations engagement priorities, activities, and events

     

    · Ensure community support activities are planned and participation is encouraged

     

    · Policy development and interpretation

     

    · Maintain compliance with employment regulations and company policies

     

    · Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience Requirements

     

    · 7 years HR experience broad, hands-on human resources experience in a manufacturing environment.

     

    · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related degree is required.

     

    · Union environment experience is a plus

     

    · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients

     

    · Strong oral and written communication skills, proven ability to influence managers and teams

     

    · Strong team leadership and coaching skills

     

    · Detail oriented, organized, and able to establish priorities and manage deadlines

     

    · Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

     

    · Experience with production, professional, and leadership associates

     

    · Manage multiple priorities and dynamic deadlines, flexible and positive in a fast-paced business environment, efficient time management and communication.

    · Fluency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Work Environment – the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
