Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the position of Food & Beverage Fairview Attendant within our Kantours (Fairview) department. This position will report directly to the Senior Food & Beverage Fairview Attendant. The successful candidate must possess good communication skills to interact with guests, management and staff.
Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Fairview Attendant supports the Senior Food and Beverage Attendant with kitchen operations, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. As a Food & Beverage Fairview Attendant, you will provide exceptional culinary experiences for our guests, preparing and presenting delicious meals in a live cooking setting. This position emphasizes a commitment to food quality, culinary creativity and teamwork to deliver an exceptional experience
during our Cooks Tour at Fairview Greathouse & Botanical Gardens.
Reports To: Senior Food & Beverage Attendant & Operations Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You shall be expected to satisfactorily carry out all the essential tasks and duties associated with this position, which includes but not limited to the following:
• Prepare and cook culinary delights at our interactive live cooking station during the Fairview Cooks Tour.
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Senior Food Beverage & Beverage Attendant.
• Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
• Support in managing all sections of the kitchen, including starters, main courses, desserts and side dishes.
• Ensure the kitchen is organized, clean and stocked with ingredients.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for ingredients and supplies to avoid shortages.
• Assist with receiving, inspecting and storing food items and supplies.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation of all dishes.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Sample ingredients and final dishes to check for taste, texture and presentation.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment and workstations are clean and meet sanitation standards.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
• Participate in regular cleaning schedules and follow checklists for kitchen hygiene.
• Support and assist other kitchen staff and cooks, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate orders and ensure timely service.
• Assist with Fairview tours when not conducting a Cooks’ tours, Events at Fairview.
• Prepare custom dishes or accommodate dietary restrictions as requested by guests or management.
• Monitor portions, reduce waste and support efficient use of ingredients to manage food costs.
• Suggest ways to improve cost-efficiency in the kitchen without sacrificing quality.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Culinary Training: Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts/Hospitality is an asset
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Culinary or related Field.
• Food Handlers Permit
• Fluent in English Communication (oral & written)
