TITLE: ROOM ATTENDANT

REPORTS TO: HOUSEKEEPER MANAGER

Royal St Kitts Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Frigate Bay. With 227 luxury studios and suites each with its own fully stocked and equipped kitchen, it is simply your ‘home away from home’. Due to our expanding growth, we are hiring Room Attendants to join our team.

Position Summary: A room attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are comfortable, inviting, sanitary and all appliances, fixtures, furniture are operative and in good condition.
 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.

• Clean all assigned guestrooms, including dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal, trash removal, restocking of clean linen, cleaning all surfaces-floor, cabinetry, walls, bathroom sanitation, kitchen sanitation, dishware, pot wares, coffee service station, replenishing amenities and paper products, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, cleaning of appliances.

• Responsible for the security of room master keys, signing in and out log.

• Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Follow departmental policies and procedures, service standards.

• Reporting to maintenance room deficiencies and inoperative fixtures.

• Forwarding lost and found guest items to Housekeeping Management.

• Follow safety and sanitation policies.

• Responsible for the security of guest possessions inside guest rooms.

• Ensure COVID protocols are followed and maintained.
 

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:

• Previous Hotel Housekeeping experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent Hospitality Training/ certification.

• Excellent command of English language, reading, writing, speaking.

• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Highly responsible and reliable, dependable.

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team or work individually.

• Possess a professional demeanor and hospitality personality working with the public
 

ANY SPECIAL DEMANDS:

• Constant standing and walking through out shift.

• Frequent lifting and carrying of (30) thirty pounds.

• Frequent kneeling, stretching, pushing, pulling, lifting.

• Able to ascend or descend stairs and ramps.

• Ability to work in and out doors in various weather conditions.

• Able to work in hot, humid conditions.

• Possess stamina to work efficiently to meet production goals.

• Ability to work around pets.

• Ability to use a variety of cleaning chemicals.

Terms of Employment: Full Time, Weekend, Holiday (Shifts)

Transportation/Travel: Bus shuttle transportation is available
