Title: Landscaping Technician

Royal St Kitts Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Frigate Bay. With 227 luxury studios and suites each with its own fully stocked and equipped kitchen, it is simply your ‘home away from home’. Due to our expanding growth, we are hiring Landscaping Technicians to join our team.

Position Summary: As Landscaper/Grounds Maintenance Worker, you would be responsible for the care and upkeep of the resort property.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remove all trash from grounds, landscaping areas and parking lot daily

• Cut grass and trim shrubs

• Remove weeds from grounds

• Water landscaped areas

• Remove and replace dead or damaged plants, shrubs and trees.

• Plant new flowers and shrubs in appropriate seasons

• Maintain grounds equipment in proper working order and keep equipment storage area in a safe and clean condition

• Must be able to operate a lawn-mower, weed and grass trimmer, shovel and hand tools

• Knowledge and use of chemicals and pesticides

• Required ability to operate pick-up truck in parking lot for transporting trash and supplies

Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and is able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive

• Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service

• Must be a team player with the ability to multitask

• Must work with little to no supervision

• Must be standards driven and detail oriented

• Always maintain a professional image

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous

• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills

• Must agree to company’s health and safety protocols
