Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the position of Payroll Clerk within our Administration department. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Finance. The successful candidate must possess good communication skills, time management skills and have a strong knowledge of payroll systems.
Job Summary:
Collecting, verifying, computing and processing of payroll data; maintains the highest level of service delivery and pay close attention to detail. Must also possess highly analytical skills, well organized, capable problem solver and motivated. They also need to work well independently and possess sound communication skills to interact with management and co-workers and must treat payroll information as strictly confidential. The Junior Payroll Clerk should have a firm understanding of computers, payroll software and accountingrelated software needed to perform the job.
Responsibilities:
· Collection, computing and documentation of all payroll data. Enter all payroll change requests (new hires, time sheets, terminations, deductions, salary changes etc.) in the payroll software for processing for Sky Safari Tours Inc., ABC islands, Delisle Walwyn St. Maarten B. V., Delisle Walwyn Francis Ltd, Delisle Cox MC Ltd.
· Verify and reconcile payroll to the bank and deductions lists and also to the Bank ACH upload form (salary deposits). I will review and upload these to the various banks platform until probationary period expires.
· Ensure the accuracy of employment taxes.
· Process payroll in a timely manner to ensure salary deposits are uploaded on bank platform within 24 hours before pay date.
· Update monthly salary schedules for the auditors.
· Prepare salary journals for review and approval by senior manager of finance before entering into the accounting system (Adagio).
· Monthly reconciliation of salary clearing accounts for the above referenced companies.
· Monthly reconciliation of all salary-related expense accounts for the above referenced companies.
· Ensure records and processes comply with company and legal regulations.
· Any other duties assigned by Senior Manager of Finance.
Requirements:
· Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
· Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role
· Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software (knowledge of Celery Payroll software would be an asset)
· Strong knowledge of labor legislation (St. Maarten and other Caribbean islands would be an asset)
· Time-management skills
· Knowledge of payroll systems.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Good attention to detail and a self-starter.
· Computer literate in Microsoft Office, word and excel.
· Ability to work on own initiative and plan and prioritize workload.
· Must have strong work ethics.
· Must be able to follow standard filing procedures.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
