Royal St Kitts Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Frigate Bay. With 227 luxury studios and suites each with its own fully stocked and equipped kitchen, it is simply your ‘home away from home’. Due to our expanding growth, we are hiring a Server to join our team.

Job Summary: The successful candidate should be able to prepare the dining room, including all necessary service settings, and serve guests in a professional, efficient, gracious and courteous manner. Schedules may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts, split shifts, and special functions and including holidays. This is a seasonal position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve in restaurant and grill areas (present menus, answer questions, offer suggestions, take orders, serve food, and clear tables)

• Memorize menus and verifies all-inclusive vs point of sale status of all guests

• Use point of sale system

• Accuracy in placing orders to kitchen and serves orders from kitchen and service bars

• Display knowledge of wine (and other alcoholic beverages)

• Verify daily checklist of duties and monitor kitchen supplies

• Prepare restaurant for next shift (fill condiments, roll silverware, etc.)

• Maintain cleanliness of wait station and restuarant

• Serve customers and work with other staff in friendly, courteous, helpful and professional manner

• Perform other related duties as assigned or as business demands

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be mature in handling different situations

• Must always be professional and friendly

• Must have good organizational skills

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and different shifting hours

• Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds, unassisted

• Must have good math skills

Working Conditions:

• Hours of work are dictated by shifts and the demands of the business

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hot/humid conditions typical of the Caribbean

• Stand for extended periods of time

• Must be able to Lift up to fifty (50) pounds, unassisted

Terms of Employment: Full Time, Weekend, Holiday (Shifts)

Transportation/Travel: Bus shuttle transportation is available
