A Local Accounting Firm is currently seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Audit Senior/Senior Accountant. We are looking for a motivated Audit Senior/Senior Accountant to join our team! The Audit Senior/Senior Accountant will be responsible for completing financial statements, assurance and advisory services assignments as well as performing other duties as assigned:
Audit Senior/Senior Accountant duties and responsibilities:
• Audit Planning - Assessing risks, setting materiality, and designing effective tests
• Audit Fieldwork - Leading teams, making key decisions, and ensuring high-quality documentation.
• File Completion – Summarising key findings for review.
• Client Relationships – Building strong relationship and delivering high-quality service
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for clients.
• Reviewing, analyzing and preparing various financial information.
• Posting entries to the general ledger.
• Secondment opportunities with clients.
• Coordinating with management to prepare annual financial statements.
• Preparing and maintaining accounting files, reports, and data used for financial reporting.
• Supervise the day-to-day running of the office.
Audit Senior/Senior Accountant requirements and qualifications:
• Minimum of a Degree in Accounting would be an asset.
• ACCA/CPA qualified or part qualified
• Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in audit and accounting
• Methodical in approach, solves problems and achieves results
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
• Ability to analyze and understand financial data
• Good organizational and supervisory skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong IT skills – Knowledge of appropriate software programs for Audit, QuickBooks, Xero and SAGE
