Position Overview
Liamuiga Natural Farm is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to prepare high-quality, farm- to-table meals for our guests. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Caribbean cuisine, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to work in a dynamic outdoor environment. This role requires efficiency, creativity, and the ability to work with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook meals using fresh, organic, and farm ingredients.
· Prepare and present dishes that showcase local flavors while upholding exceptional culinary standards.
· Ensure all food preparation and cooking processes meet health and safety regulations.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring proper food storage and sanitation.
· Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate ingredient procurement as needed.
· Work efficiently in an outdoor kitchen environment, adapting to available resources.
· Collaborate with farm staff to incorporate seasonal produce into meal planning.
· Support special events, private dining experiences, and customized guest requests.
· Maintain professionalism and a high level of service in all kitchen operations.
· Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Proven experience as a professional cook
· Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
· Passion for sustainable food practices and farm-to-table dining.
· Food handler’s certification is preferred.
