Comment: What about other Caribbean tourist destinations where jet skis are used daily without incident? Proper training, handling and following safety guidelines are all that are needed. Just like using roads in towns on crowded days.

Comment: If the reward money is raised, it may entice more people to come forward with information that can resolve crime. Also more surveillance around the island and a good forensic lab on the island will certainly help. I hope the record set last year is not surpassed. Jamaica is already projecting that the near 1600 murders in 2009 may be eclipse this year, and that is a sad commentary for our lovely Caribbean islands whose economies depend so heavily on visitors.
