Comment: The Police does blunder too much!! What investigations cud be carried out based on a photo. Is obviously they know the lady and her sons and perhaps they are known to be in the company of undesirables. The police shud have just take a note of the individuals in the photo and leave the lady with her belongings. I take they search for guns, drugs and ammo but i guess pictures is also illegal!
Comment: If your Dept did the right thing, the Media would have nothing to criticize. So when your Dept do stupidness and the Media criticize, whose fault is that? Take you blows like a man, correct your mistakes, and stop whine like a little child.
Comment: If he can't handle direct questioning and at the same time disseminate information directly to the public via the local media outlets, then maybe it's time for Mr. Harris to start looking for a new job. Why does the information first have to refined by another government dept. before its made public. The more serious question is what does he/they have to hide? I would like to think that Mr. Harris has more pressing problems within the customs dept. to deal with than to be worried about criticism
Comment: Mr Harris if you were always open and truthful the Press would be unable to argue, when your Dept does stupidness the press are obliged to tell it like it is. The Press are right to criticize where criticizm is due. Deal with it.
Comment: A mixture of ineptitude, lack of accountability and gross corruption.Isn't the press secretary a party activist and spin doctor? Or is it a budget cutting strategy by cutting spokesperson job? Whatever the true answer, hard questions need to be asked about the functioning of customs/police when it is recognised that they are failing catastrophically regarding the control of guns and ammunition coming into the country. Now they are hiding behind the PM Press Secretary
Comment: From the bio's I have read so far it would be nice to know what was the application requirement for this pageant. Seems contestants can have a child or be married. It certainly is a different approach to the norm. I suppose the committee is trying something new. So they are to be commended for giving more young women an opportunity to showcase their talents. I do hope the national carnival queen committee takes note.
Comment: I too agree with Oulalie Girl. Couldn't the photographer place the logo in the corner or perhaps in the background as a watermark? Certainly you want to recognize the work of the photographer but it should not take away from the main purpose of the image which is to display the contestants. This work seems a bit amateur but something which can and should be corrected moving on.
