Comment: Mr Brantley, I commend you as the opposition leader of St Kitts and Nevis for taking the issue of crime so serious. You are sincere and genuine and your first concern is the safety of the entire populace. My only hope is that our leaders understand that you do not have a political agenda, but that you fully comprehend how acts of crime could cripple a nation. Too many people are keeping quiet about criminality in the federation. People need to be angry and really take their concerns to the streets. If the government is not willing to put the necessary resources in place to fight crime, then the people should ask that the gov't relinquish its authority. Let us ask ourselves this question, could I be the next victim? My answer to you is "YES". Anyone of us could be because no one is safe anymore. It hurts when people of different nationalities communicate to me that St. Kitts and Nevis is too dangerous for a vacation. I can no longer encourage my friends to visit. They prefer to vacation in Jamaica. Can you imagine that?
Please keep up the struggle Mr Brantley.
