Comment: No offence to the religous back grounds but i totally agree with the SKAAA Association in holding the meet on the weekend. The general public are hindered from seeing these young and shining stars. If the meet was held in the week and some of those Adventist were chosen to take part in the Leeward Islands Junior Track and Field would they let the kids go overseas to perform on a Saturday?

Comment: Definitely religious persecution! If u look at it no SDA member has made it very far in any sporting activities cause they are always kept on the weekend. Look at the interhigh, I am sure no SDA member was able to participate. God gave us 6 days to do as we like and the 7th day belongs to him. Let us use the 6 days including Sunday to keep the championship. The other type of Christians are flexible but not us. We will not be moved!

Comment: Sunday worshipers frequently give up their day to attend events, so Saturday worshipers should be willing to make a sacrifice also. It is not every weekend that they are asked to do so, therefore, they should exercise some flexibility. We should not be so rigid in our religious philosophy.

Comment: It is sad that the SDA athletes will not participate, because of religious reasons. I have to ask myself these questions though. who is the real stumbling block in these children's way, Is it their school or the association? Should these children be punished because of doctrine? Isn't chistainity more important than doctrine? Lets answer these questions and we will see who is the real stumbling block. Why worry about what will become of them in the future When they ought to be in church.goodhand
