Comment: It is unfortunate that a little incident like this which could have been easily resolved (with out the intervention of the police), have caught the media's attention. Anyways, it is appears to me that the grandparents are obviously not capable of keeping this lad in check.
Look at the story, a puppy come in he yard, ain his. So he feds it and takes care of it. Fine. Now someone claims that the puppy belong to them, an older person i might add. Give de man he puppy! Problem solved. Oh no, Mr. Bad decide he nar give it up. Wha kinda ting this ?
I mean, what kind of anger can this boy muster to even think about allegedly pulling a machete on a man 2wice his age? Something is very wrong with this picture.
The mother mentioned that the neighbours are in the habit of provoking her son. If this is so, has she made complaints to the police?
Based on her remarks, it doesnt appear that the mother is too fond of the neighbours. I hope she has not forgotten that she is now charged with the responsibility of raising an alleged murderer.
Attitude towards the boy have changed due to the April 3rd incident. What do you expect ? I assume that he is not the only child in the community. Its alone natural that parents in the community would keep an eye out for him.
In my view, it really doesnt matter who was right or wrong in this incident. The fundamental issue here is, How do we rehabilitate this young boy and get him on the right track? What if he had an altercation with a boy his age and managed to use the machete on him?
Maybe those licks he get suit him. Seems like he dont get enough. |
