Comment: I totally agree that negligence did exist on the Health care professionals side, however, if an opportunity rendered it self for the Johnson family to lodge an official complaint why didn't they do it? You can not discipline a person on hearsay as there could be serious legal implications on the in stitutions part. Lodge an official complaint adnt them contact the media. That is how is it done!

Comment: In other countries when you go to the ER you do have a long wait, the most critical patients are taken care of first,this women and child didnot come to the hospital by ambulance or with any visible injuries, staff did not see a critical situation that need immediate attention, a radiologist should have given the x-ray info to the DR. this would have help to diagnosis the injury.No need for Dr to leave attending patient she was with. Unfortunate Situation. Hope you all have a good recovery.

Comment: i agree about most of the nurses at the hospitals AND clinics,they need to go back to nursing school,i was at jnf and a man came in vomitting and weak with fish poisoning,and it wasn't until an hour after the man fainted and busted his chin that someone came from the back to look at him.hmmm.and they could never find out whats wrong with you,the best thing they can do is prescribe paracetamol for any and everything!! i wont mention my own personal BAD encounters at jnf and at the clinics,(too numerous to mention)PLZ SEND THEM BACK TO NURSING SCHOOL,SO THEY CAN RENDER THE PROPER DIAGNOSIS TO THE PROPER ILLNESSES. one more thing,whats up with ppl waiting a whole hour for an xray because the 'ONLY' trained person who does it couldn't be bothered to leave home in a hurry???????(personal experience)

Comment: This was an unfortuate incident, but I am now seeing big problems developing at the hospital. Many complaints were mentioned and no one mention how much they paid for services rendered. We look for the best service at JNF, but we don't want to pay for the service. We had an accident like the Johnson's family in the US. We got the treatment that Johnson's family was asking from the US hospital. Two weeks after, the bill came from the hostipal for $22000.00US. Johnson family, what was JFK bill?

Comment: We do not have time for negligence and incompetence in healthcare. These are people's lives we are dealing with. That could have been my child or YOUR child. HELL NOOO!!!! They have to come better than that!

Comment: This story is Appalling!!What sort of health system does St. Kitts have if a nurse and a doctor (the ones who took the oath to do no harm and prevent harm) neglects a human being and even worst a helpless baby. Healthcare isn't perfect anywhere; however, those who are in charge should make it the best for people who seek it afterall thats what they are making the big bucks for! My opinion is that doctor should be fired as well as that nurse who sit her big butt down and left the baby screaming.

Comment: I agree ER's are like waiting rooms and unfortunately even in the US we have to wait. I must say however, if a child goes into the ER screaming for pain believe me that child will be seen QUICK!! If that doctor could'nt read that X-ray and see that the child had a broken bone then she needs to go back to medical school. Thank god when I travel to SK I make call my insurance company to make sure SKYMED would be available to fly me or my child out. JNF need a shake up the are too INCOMPETENT!

Comment: SIMPLE SOLUTION... SUE LEROY & SUE THE HOSPITAL... Consult a lawyer and learn your rights and SUE THEM... pedestrians first is a rule every driver knows or should know... and pain & suffering & negligence in the hospital... suppose the baby leg/body was leaking fluids internally and it messed up his body.. MAN I SAY SUE THEM!!!

Comment: Real Crazy Story.... Sue them and maybe then theyw ould hear you... Even Leroy Powell sue him to... pedestrians first everytime on a cross walk... sue him and the hospital.. for pain and suffering, negligence etc...becasue i fyou dont nothing would change... we have rights in st.kitts but dont use them or know them... they glad we ignorant to those things...
