Comment: The layoffs were inevitable. With an occupancy rate of less than 30% in some cases during peek season, warranted some sort of action. HOWEVER, I am totally against the manner in which this was done! How on earth you are going to wait until the employees arrive that morning and escort them over to HR and have law enforcement officers escort them over to there lockers?? What are they slaves??? Have we no regard for thenhuman element? And Mr. PM; u are a pathological liar... u lie so often you don't even remember what you say and along with your fellow cabinet colleagues, I have no faith in your leadership. You knew what was happening especially with law enforcement officers being summoned to the scene (your ministry). And if according to what you are saying, it would therefore mean that the labour laws were breached and some action would have had to be taken. The labour department should have received 30 days notice minimum! Until this day, we haven't heard your administration condemn the manner in which these employees were re leaved from there services and it is SAD! It is about time we appoint a leader who is competent, honest and just who is willing to serve the people with integrity! We atleast deserve that! |
