Comment: Everyone has a choice, that is how our God made us. We can play the blame game but it inevitably comes to 'CHOICE'. It is not against the law to preach the word of God in St Kitts like other countries, we still have churches holding Sunday school where God's word is taught. LOVE is what it all comes down to, the young men and women may get that in their gangs and until they realize where LOVE is they will be forever searching. Let us try and show them LOVE and tell them about Jesus' love....

Comment: We have seen the dictatorial madness of the European Union hysterically bowing to the May 1968 generation. The result is to be seen all over the European Union. It was madness to stop hanging.Another important point is that supermax life-imprisonment is crueller and most criminals would prefer to be hanged instead.I have asked someone here in France who has been a lot in solitary and his reply was immediate.If he had done something stupid he would prefer the death penalty.

Comment: wow, this is really moving. imagine those who doing right getting laughed at. but those who buying the gang clothes and big chains even tho their children getting kick outta school are the majority in our society. mothers and fathers better learn how to be good parents and stop being enablers.some parents are no better than their vagabond children anyways

Comment: my heart bleeds for this family and all the others like them.parents spend time with your children, kip out the melee and the dance sessions. invest in your children's education and less in their wardrobes and accessories. when u see young people now you cant tell that they have no jobs. their clothes and jewelry cost more than who have jobs. let me see what it will take for parents to take stock of their kids now

Comment: it does start in the homes. the children on the road at all hours and u cant say nothing to them cuz de wud dem u getting. and when u dare tell a parent bout any wrong they child doing the parents and the child a buse you. thats why u have to see dem and shut you eye now a days

Comment: I appreciate this article and think it is very well written as it tugs to my heart being the mother of a young boy myself. I am happy to hear that you kiss your child daily, because my son is a little older yours and we still kiss every time we part. Can you imagine how nice SKB will be if every mother did the same to their child,along with teaching them the proper values and morals they need to survive?

Comment: too many mothers more concerned that they children win the fashion show that pass the tests oin school. look at high school proms..those who tag dung come last in CXC, dey parents say they cant afford books but they find the money to rent limos and buy outfit for them to go prom..ms you doing right by you child

Comment: This is so so, i feel for this young boy and shred a tear. its so sad what is happening and for a 9 year old to be so terrified to even go to school, just shows what state st.kitts is in. something needs to be done drastically and as he said kill all the bad ones and i too whish it was that easy, as i would willingly do it. these people need to be wiped off the streets for good, gun them down and get rid of the scums. little one the good thing is that you have a mother that cares and loves you.

Comment:  There are many Teachers and others in society who tried to give guidance and deter many youths from heading down the wrong path but was met with negativity and hostility from they parents or Guardian. As a result of these kind of parental behaviors people who really care turn their backs. We as a society have to find ways to reachout and help parents like these in order to help their children, our children before it is to late.
