Comment: This is BS - if Amnesty wishes to meddle in our country’s jurisprudence process, then they should provide funding to assist the federation in combating the escalating criminal activities. Also, why cant Amnesty interfere with Texas execution process or the middle eastern countries execution methods?? Obviously, they are of no value to these govts -, so their condemnation should not have any impact on how we handle our judicial process, and the penalties for senseless murders.

Comment: It is sad for any family when a love one has to lose their life in whichever way death comes and we have had more than our share of that in SKN…As sad as the hanging of Mr. Laplace or any one else is, can we really allow things to continues as they are? We have tried long prison terms, lots of talking but yet the slaughter continues…Families have suffers immensely and our hearts mourned with them, the families of victims and perpetrators alike…. We are not a people without compassion or respect for the sacredness’ of lives; but something must be done, this is painful for all of us and I sure wish there were other measure we could have resort to instead of hanging… In the same vain I have not heard or seen any comments for Amnesty International condemning the slaughter of our young men and women, they have not send ONE letter of condolence to the grieving families, not even a workshop on how to stem the slaughter in our beloved paradise yet in their hydrocoral way they are condemning our action… We need to return to Gad as a nation and as a people, we have tried all we can and have suffered toooooo much, let us see if this course of action will have an effect.. Comment: I think Amnesty need to look deeply into this matter, what the government/Judicial system did was right, why should one's take another life and just sit in prison eating my hard earns money, hang them is right.

Comment: It is rather surprising that every one will be bashing the government for the death penalty of this individual. How come all these people were not speaking and condeming the brutal death of his wife. We cannot always depend on teh government to do things. The private sector and all these individual organizations should raise funds to assist the government to build a new prison. The prison is over populated and something needs to be done to get a new one. Work together to help.

Comment: Where is Amnesty International when our federation is being plagued by gang violence, violence against women and such crimes? It is always easy to judge when you are not in the situation where it affects you directly. Let Amnesty International come and feel the pain of the families devastated by the crimes such as this. The victims had rights too and those were violated by their killers. It is grossly unfair to rush in to protect those who have no regard for others.
