Comment: we need to stop depending on the gov. to do everything for us and we need to be more proactive in life...our gov. has spoon fed the people of SK for too long and that has to stop....we are not babies that need spoon feeding....we need to use our head a bit more and think.

Comment: Congrats To President Barack Obama for his victorious win and making history too as the 1st black elected president of the US!! It gives me great pleasure to know that black ppl can still rise above every obstacle that others put in their way to stumble over. He has proved that nothing is impossible for us to achieve as long as we keep fighting for our cause in life. Ur a terrific example and u caused us to be proud of who we r as black ppl. Comment: going on youtube won't change the fact that the entire country missed seeing it live that night. SO u need to stop making excuses for that incompetent government, wake up, smell the coffee and embrace the change that we will get come next general elections.

Comment: I can tell you right now that Grant's comment about the generators is more and more looking like the gospel truth I understand that outages do happen but come on at such a moment,i had to depend on people in the USA texting me to tell me of this moment, imagine our grandparents and parents and even us and our kids robbed of the event live, totally unacceptable the government need to take this seriously

Comment: you know what you have to blame the government no matter what, such a defining moment and the citizens of St Kitts robbed no amount of placating will soothe us. In this day and age the expectation is that we have generators that should be top of the line, for a country that is rapidly progressing and the product is tourism - yes accidents happen but these power outages are ridiculous and last night took the cake. we were robbed of a moment and there is nothing the government can do to recover.

Comment: Yes if we are renting generators we should not be having these outages today; it is like we are paying to have these outages and the people responsible are not upfront with us and admit that they are having serious problems at the power plant. Can a simple burning switch cause an outage across the entire island? Too good to be true...

Comment: Yea this the kinda thing we have to deal with in SK. I was able to witness it because im not in the country but i feel really bad for those who didnt because of this incompetence. Its obvious we NEED CHANGE in SK too.

Comment: yeah it was hard very hard to have power go out at a time like that, it felt really bat. I however was a little fortunate because i was actually looking at it live online at cnn.com on four different feeds I was able to see it, and just to see the numbers change to 291, overtaking the 270 electoral votes needed to win, was such a defining moment in history. Hearing the crowds cheer in Grant Park in Chicago and all the other feeds was touching, though my feed was delayed I felt like I was there. Even now it still feels so surreal. I however feel the pains because nothing better would of been to hear it called live and feeling like you are there, and I like many won't ever forget the night Barack Obama won and power going out a few minutes before. I guess that is a telling sign of a change to come on our end.
