Comment: This story is true about what is going on at the Fire Station. I have family working there and i was informed of what goes on there on a daily basis. These are not allegations. There are Officers there who are not afraid of telling the truth about over there. The others are afraid of talking, because they are afraid of being spite by the Chief or even sent to Nevis, as the article rightly said. I know one day the truth will come out about the Chief Officer, who has no respect at all. He even are stopping Officers from getting there promotion base on who they are and the political party they are for (Labour). The Fire Service is deeply divided and once any officer do not see eye to eye with the chief, dog dead with him/her. Officers have to carry news about other officers to the Chief for them to get preferential treatment, time off and a chance to assume the responsibility as F.S.O, even if they never did exams for that post, while Officers who are qualify for the position are not given a chance, because they are not his best of friends and refuse to carry news to him and so on. The Fire Department deserve a Better person who will look after the affairs of every officer and not some. I'm hoping that a change will come fourth in the Fire Department and the right person for the job will take post as soon as possible for a smooth running of that department. Bearing in mind, that elections are just around the corner.

Comment: The government need to pay ppl for the job they are doing, even nevis who has less work are paid and treated better, fair is fair and if they strike nobody can blame then, ppl need to stand up for what they want

Comment: Should the court have him locked up to satisfy the public because you may noise Bull! Some of you who talking a hope that you don't have any skeletons in you closet.. Stop mind people business. You all talking about Michelle, if she was alive today, she still would a be living with them, not even she own family could a get her out. Comment: We just celebrated the work of RLBradshaw on Sep 16 and 19. His fight for trade unionism has been dwarfed to the point of disappearance, because that peice of land at Buckley's is actually historic land that he fought for to ensure that the colonial capitalists did no longer control the factors of production there. Comment: So when he was president he had no idea how to deal with the problem! and now that hes not president anymore he seems to know how to fix the problem! Im confused ?

Comment: Just digging a drainage to the sea does not solve the problem. That is only a brief solution. The ghauts bring sediment to the sea and over time small estuaries will form. The situation at the mouths of both ghauts is threatening the harbour. We need to completely clear the mouth of Westbourne ghaut, or eventually we will have to pay for costly dredging. The situation at the mouth of College Street Ghaut is worse and will take a major operation.

Comment: When they shoot up these two boys they did not linger with the bullets, so why are they lingering with justice. How much more must this family suffer. Get on with the sentence and stop sitting on your hand.

Comment: He don't realize he is the one keeping himself in the slum. You can't blame society when you are the one sniffing the cocain up your nose. Everyone has dreams and its good you want to build a house, but if you continue on this path you will never see that house go up. Think about it. You are your own worse enemy.

Comment: This is one case where there should be a public statement as to why these two were acquited. for the DPP to merely state that she does not wish to proceed does not make anything clear for the public. Our system seems to echo that of a joke then we wonder why crime is escalting and why we're losing our young people to the streets? Let justice be served regardless of whom it may be.
