Comment: This is not an issue of black oppression as some are claiming. This is an issue of following the proper procedures and the correct channels to achieve an objective. One cannot simply get up and come into a community, start a project of this nature without community consultation or government approval. Mr. Bridgewater should have taken the right steps in gaining a right to develop the caves and should have collaborated with the Keys community to get the job done. I agree with Physical Planning. When and if he gets approval he can proceed. I mean its like someone coming into your house for the first time and just going straight to your fridge without asking permission. Comment: I currently live in Northern Virginia and every year I am tempted to take a vacation to St. Kitts where I grew up so I can give my family a first hand look at where I came from but I restrain myself from even taking that venture. I usually take them to the other popular places due to the increase of violence in St. Kitts. I refuse to visit and get kill or mugged. I did three tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan and came back alive and refuse to allow some want-to-be-bad idiot take my life or terrorize my family. It is very ridiculous the way our country has been slipping with little concern of its future. We as adults need to the get youths refocused since they are the future and if they keep killing each other like this, who will be around for the future, the criminals. I totally agree that capital punishment need to be reenacted and make it public at Independence Square.

Comment: I live in St Kitts and everytime I log on to sknvibes I see some shooting or some other killing by some other means what are we really doing our country' good name are we gone mad that we can't settle our differences some other way God have mercy on our souls

Comment: Just when u think you heard it all, it starts all over again...and right on the heel of that, another shooting incident took place last night in Cayon where 2 young men were shot. I'm not sure I even feel safe goin to the Carifta games cuz I'm thinking, what if shots rang out and there's a stampede?? Then what? We need to pray for our little island.

Comment: Some of these bad boys parents are the ones who should be blame. Parents you need to discipline your children. Almost everyday I read about some kind of shooting in St. Kitts, that's crazy!! Theses kids are turning my country into a war zone. STOP THEM NOW OTHERWISE OUR TOURISM INDUSTRY WILL CRUMBLE!!!!!

Comment: As a current Ross University student, I can say that these allegations are absurd. Our animals are treated with the utmost care and respect and are NEVER left to needlessly suffer. Surgery animals that we believe can be adopted out are "saved" and rehabilitated before going to good homes. Also, while the standard of animal care on the island may be different from the US, there are plenty of residents who care greatly about their animals. I have seen just as much animal abuse back home in the US as I do on the island!

Comment: I feel sorry for both individuals........especially Vande...I hope ll is well with him...We as individuals...whether it be the victim or the suspect......we need to be very careful. Lives are precious and are only given to us once.....therefore we ought to treat each individual as if they were apart of your own family

Comment: too much democracy in the place. we need a judge with balls that will hand down some hard sentences. we need an attorney general with the balls to push and change the laws of the land -- how hard is it to do that, so stiffer penalties are in place for shooting and stuff. make an example of one or two and you will see, and when the example is being made, the police should capture all gang members and let them watch the public hanging. they will change. u ever see cows at the abbatoir up the village -- they shake when they go in the place and it aint like they gone there before. they respect in there.
