Comment: You guys need to stop making it seem like this family done wrong. In the pass/present the teenager always assist with the younger ones. A little responsible won't hurt once that person have patient and love for that kid. You'll already know why the kid died so stop judging, and concentrate on whats in from of u all. Comment: This is a sad story all around. Lets not be too judgmental and talk about a 13 year old babysitting, it happens everywhere. The child died as a result of an injury to the head that she suffered 2 months prior to her death. She was hospitalised for two days and the doctors sent her home to die a slow death. So lets call a spade a spade the medical system SUCKS! The baby would have died whether or not her mom was with her. Imagine a head injury with no head scan, GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!

Comment: Am Mad As Hell: I agree that punishment should be harsh but we still have to be careful with how we treat those who are committed. One reason is that they are still human and another is that we have to guard against dishing out what can be described as cruel and unusual punishment. Yet another is that there is always the possibility that someone among them is there for something he/she did not do. At the trial, such a person was PROSECUTED but in essence, if he is innocent, he would essentially have been PERSECUTED; and there is a significant difference between the two words.

Comment: u cant not blame any one for that incident which took place.... first thing first.. d child dead from bleeding of head and brain damage. this can not happen in couple hours so u can not blame d 13yrs old child niether the mother... r u saying that a 13yrs old can not mind a child from since i am 13yrs or younger i am minding my nieces and nephews and now i am 19yrsand still minding... people was born with a skill to do such a things.

Comment: Laws need to be developed in St. Kitts to protect the children because they are the future generation. Women go out to lime, get laid with other people men etc. It only takes a spilt second for something tragic to occur, upon returning the house burned flat to the ground cremating the children.Then they come go to the media crying ridiculously like they really cared in the first place only trying to get funds for burial and rebuilding their homes because they brokes anyway.PLZ SAVE OUR CHILDREN

Comment: Where are the family members to step in and help this evidently single mother when she needed them. i remember growing up when my mom wud leave us with granny or aunty or uncle. Now adays single parents have to do what they have to do to survive. it's very saddening that the young child had to die and that the older siblings had to witness it. we as a community need to stop belittling eacj other and start finding ways on how to make the communities safer and better in all aspect

Comment: 2 all who wanna kn sum of tha facts, here goes: the 13 yr old was only 2 look after her until her father got home frm work (the mother herself was leavin 4 work) n skool n daycare was already closed wen the incident took place...its surprisin how we act like it isn't a reality that mayb the olders kids have 2 help take care of the younger ones sometimes

Why not jus simply take a description of what the person looks like, u dont need to see no face.
