Comment: What difference will King Solomon make as Commissioner of our Police Force if Our Government is not prepared to think out of the box, move away from tradition and instill the fear of punishment for law breakers especially those involved in violence and gun crimes. Give the Police detention power up to a year whilst gathering evidence for murders/gun crimes, restrict appeals to our Caribbean Courts, Chop off convicts hands and or penis as the case may be or pluck out their eyes. Comment: PM should be reminded that the settlement of the overdraft at SKNANB is a matter of significant importance to everyone. Therefore, nothing short of making the details of the settlement public is acceptable. We are overly concerned that the state's tangible assets, namely land or property, being utilized in any settlement. Clearly, a shift from a system that hides the details of matters of significant public interest should be a thing of the past. A freedom of information act is the next step.

Comment: If one pours water in a strainer though it is shaped like a bucket, it remains a strainer and will do precisely what a strainer does. Management Styles are concepts and theories that influence the general work environment of an organization. Different styles vary a little with a change in leadership, however, the crux mostly remains the same. Our current challenges were not foreseen 75 yrs ago when many of our laws were enacted. What we need is a new take on our laws that reduces crime.

Comment: Graham Archer woukld have been a good choice. He isretiring this year though. I know him and think that he attended Bramshill Police College with both Stafford and Joseph Liburd. He did not appliy for the position though. He is a longtime friend of mine. He told me that Joseph Liburd is one of the brightest and best officer that he got to know.

Comment: The Job Description hereunder: to wit the general administration of the Force, execute the policy directives of the Ministry, oversee and direct the design of a crime fighting strategy and advise government on crime patterns/trends is quite restrictive and demeaning especially for people that have spent most of their life as Peace Officers. It is no better than hiring a messenger. The COP should have a greater say in advising Gov't on possible ways to arrest crime challenges eg New Laws etc.
