Comment: I have to say that where a foreigner is to be given the post of Police Commissioner, two things need to occur for any results to occurr: firstly, he will need resources. Secondly, if he is coming from US/UK make sure that he has some concrete ideas on how to tackle the problems. Look at Jamaica, they employed someone from Scotland Yard, and there has been very little change in the crime situation. Foreigners are no panecea for the crime situation in SKN

Comment: Maybe your country or the powers in place should devote more money to bringing in help to assist with the crime over there instead of the music festivals and such, which only promotes crime.

Comment: I totally agree with Charles Wilkin on this matter.With the overall spiralling of crime within SKN,does Douggie expect that the Permanent Secretary should be given praise for a job well done? In any other part of the world this sad inditement would result in the PS being given his matching orders. From a strategic point of view, this is one of the problems, everyone in Church Street wish to draw a salary but they dont want to take responsiblity for anything.

Comment: with a sigh of relief am very glad to read something positive about some of our youngsters in our Society.I live abroad and try to keep up with the news from back home and to every time I read about those youngsters who are getting themselves caught up into all soughts of wrong doing it just break my heart.It doesn't matter what's been said.it all comes down to CHARITY begins at home.
