Comment: hmm....my take on valentines day is that it SHOULD feel like an ordinary day by the time the day arrives...that is, because you've done so many special things for your partner during the year, doing one more of such acts wont make the day seem that much different. If you've had difficult times this past year in your relationships, dont wait till valentines day to do something special. Instead, rekindle that spark by doing something special on a day other than that day. Maybe the day before vals, on Feb 13. And let the message and theme be centered around the sentiment that it does need to be valentines day for you to do something special to make your partner happy. Spontaneity and chivalry seem to be dead these days. But its never too late. So surprise your partner by celebrating him/her on a day, just because, and continue throughout the course of the year. And when its reciprocated, it will form good habits that are very difficult to break. |
